Bio

Shanna Garcia has been an active member of the bleeding disorders community since 2004, when her son was diagnosed with severe hemophilia A at just 8 months old. Her passion for advocacy was sparked in 2022 when she learned about the Bleeding Disorders Substance Use Mental Health Advocacy Coalition (BD SUMHAC). In 2023, Shanna joined the Texas Central Bleeding Disorders team as the Director of Development and Outreach.
